Accounts Payable Assistant – Temporary Contract
Location: Edinburgh
Type: Full-time, Temporary up to 6 months with further opportunities within the organisation, Hybrid
Salary: up to £32,000 depending on experience
Starting Date: Immediately
iMultiply are partnering with a professional services business and are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong organisational skills, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Highly reputable business with internal opportunities to take on a permanent role in the future.
Key Responsibilities
*Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently within the accounts payable system.
*Handle employee and partner expense claims, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
*Manage credit card and virtual card transactions, including reconciliation of accounts.
*Maintain and update vendor records in line with risk management procedures.
*Prepare weekly supplier payment runs via BACS.
*Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any discrepancies promptly.
Skills required
*Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*Good knowledge of invoice processing and payment systems.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
