Your new role

As a Credit Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the Credit Management department. Your responsibilities will include processing credit notes, managing customer accounts, reconciling ledgers, and ensuring timely collection of payments in line with company policies. You’ll handle customer queries, open new accounts, mirror invoice data onto third-party systems, and maintain accurate financial records. The role also involves liaising with internal departments and external clients to ensure smooth credit operations and excellent service delivery.

Key duties include:
*Investigating and resolving customer account queries.
*Processing and issuing credit notes.
*Managing incoming payments and allocating them accurately.
*Opening new customer accounts and maintaining account preferences.
*Monitoring and managing shared credit control inboxes.
*Reconciling ledger accounts and correcting discrepancies.
*Uploading daily sales and managing banking duties.
*Chasing overdue payments and negotiating payment plans.
*Supporting legal debt recovery processes.
*Assisting with senior credit management tasks when required.

What you’ll need to succeed


*Experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a finance-related role (preferred but not essential).
*Strong communication and customer service skills.
*Good numeracy and attention to detail.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal systems.
*Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
*A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn.
