Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week
Working Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Contract: All year round
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and motivated Room Leader to join our early years setting. This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring outstanding care, learning and development for all children.
Key Responsibilities*Lead and manage a room within the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education
*Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
*Support, mentor and guide Nursery Practitioners within the room
*Carry out observations, assessments and maintain accurate learning records
*Act as a key person for children and build strong relationships with parents/carers
*Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and welfare requirements are met at all times
*Monitor room practice to ensure compliance with Ofsted and nursery policies
*Contribute to staff meetings, training and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements*Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an early years setting
*Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
*Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Passion for delivering high-quality early years education
