Interim Head of Transactional Finance
Location: North Yorkshire (3 days per week onsite)
Contract: 12 Months
Salary: Up to £80,000 + benefits


HW Finance are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a leading business to recruit an Interim Head of Transactional Finance. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic finance team during an exciting period of change and improvement. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same.


You’ll be working closely with senior stakeholders including the Finance Directors and project leads, playing a key role in maintaining stability and driving improvements during this transition period.


You’ll lead a large transactional finance team of over 60 heads across a variety of areas, with 4 direct reports.


Key responsibilities include:
*Overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly
*Managing payment approvals and high-volume banking activity
*Driving continuous improvement and supporting ongoing projects
*Leading and developing a strong team culture


What we’re looking for:
*A proven people manager with experience leading large transactional teams
*Ideally, experience in AP or transactional finance at a senior level
*Comfortable working across multiple systems and supporting process improvements


The Details:
*12-month contract
*Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 from home
*Up to £80,000 salary
*25 days holiday + bank holidays (plus the option to buy/sell holidays)
*Start date: ASAP
