Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working closely with a specialist SEN school to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, patient and energetic SEN TA who enjoys being actively involved in school life. The role requires someone who is sporty, gentle and resilient, with the confidence to support a pupil both in the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
Role Details * Position: SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 (Secondary ASD)

* Start Date: January 2026

* End Date: July 2026

* Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

* Contract: Full time, term time only

* Pay: £90 - £110 per day (PAYE)

* Location: Loughborough

* Travel: Accessible by train or car; on-site parking available

The Role * 1:1 support for a KS3 pupil with ASD in a secondary SEN setting

* Supporting learning across lessons and practical subjects

* Encouraging engagement, independence and emotional regulation

* Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN professionals

The Ideal Candidate * Experienced and passionate about supporting children or young people with ASD

* Previous experience in a secondary or SEN school setting

* Patient, calm and nurturing, with a positive and proactive approach

* Confident working 1:1 and adapting support to individual needs

* Reliable, resilient and ready to fully engage in school life

Compliance Requirements * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

* Right to work in the UK

* Two professional, child-based references
