Job Description:
Internal Expeditor Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Internal Expeditor to manage and optimise the flow of orders and materials through the business. This role is critical in maintaining accurate, up-to-date open orders data and ensuring clear communication between Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.
The successful candidate will own the creation, maintenance, and reporting of an open orders database, providing actionable insights that support operational efficiency and business performance.
Key Responsibilities * Order Management:
Track all open orders from initiation through to closure, ensuring timely progress and proactively flagging delays or risks.

* Database Creation & Maintenance:
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a comprehensive open orders spreadsheet/database that is accessible and valuable to all relevant departments.

* Cross-Department Coordination:
Act as the central point of contact for order status updates, working closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to ensure data accuracy and alignment.

* Reporting & Analysis:
Produce regular reports and analytics on order status, bottlenecks, fulfilment accuracy, and key performance indicators. Present insights to management to support decision-making.

* Continuous Improvement:
Identify inefficiencies in order management processes and recommend practical improvements to enhance workflow and communication.

* Documentation Support:
Ensure all required order documentation (e.g. certificates, test reports, compliance files) is supported, tracked, and completed.

Skills & Experience * Strong organisational and time-management skills

* Advanced Excel and/or database management capability

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Analytical mindset with experience producing reports and KPIs

* Proven ability to work across multiple departments

* High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach

Reporting Line * Reports to: Operations Director

* Works closely with: Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance

What Success Looks Like * High levels of order fulfilment accuracy and on-time delivery

* Reliable, accessible, and trusted open orders data

* Strong cross-departmental satisfaction with reporting and communication

* Tangible process improvements implemented and sustained
