Full-Time Food Technician - Secondary School - Huyton
Are you passionate about food, nutrition, and supporting young people in a practical learning environment?
We’re looking for a full-time Food Technician to join a friendly secondary school in Huyton, playing a key role in supporting engaging and safe food technology lessons.
What you’ll be doing:
* Preparing ingredients, equipment, and resources for Food Technology lessons
* Supporting teachers during practical sessions to ensure lessons run smoothly
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised food tech classroom
* Ensuring health & safety and food hygiene standards are followed at all times
* Supporting students during practical work and encouraging confidence and independence
* Managing stock, ordering supplies, and helping with food prep where required
What we’re looking for:
* Someone available to work full-time, Monday to Friday during term time
* Experience working in a school, kitchen, or food preparation setting (desirable but not essential)
* A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices
* Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils (11-16)
* A reliable, organised, and proactive team player with a positive attitude
