Teacher of Design and Technology
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full Time
Location: Secondary School
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Teacher of Design and Technology to join a thriving and well-resourced department at a leading Secondary school, renowned for its academic excellence and vibrant co-curricular life for the Autumn term
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to inspire pupils across the age range (Key Stage 3 to A-Level), with the ability to deliver engaging and rigorous lessons that foster creativity, problem-solving, and a deep appreciation for design. A specialism in resistant materials would be desirable, but we welcome applications from candidates with expertise in other areas of the subject.
The successful candidate will:
*Be a dynamic and reflective practitioner with a strong subject knowledge.
*Demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for Design and Technology and an ability to communicate this to students.
*Have experience (or the potential) to teach up to A-Level.
*Contribute fully to the wider life of the school, including co-curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
*Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (applications from ECTs are welcome).

The Design and Technology department is a forward-thinking and integral part of the school, enjoying excellent facilities including modern workshops and CAD/CAM equipment. Pupils regularly achieve excellent examination results, and the subject is popular at all levels.
