Senior Nursery Practitioner | Sutton Coldfield


Role Overview:
A warm, diverse private nursery in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a motivated
Level 3 qualified Senior Nursery Practitioner. This role involves full responsibility for the daily
operations of the baby room, acting as a professional role model while mentoring a dedicated
team.


Key Responsibilities
Room Leadership: Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery room, supervising
staff, and identifying training needs.
Quality Care: Deliver high-quality education for children aged 0–5 in alignment with
Ofsted and EYFS standards.
Key Person Duties: Maintain accurate developmental records, assess progress, and
plan stimulating activities tailored to individual needs.
Collaboration: Facilitate strong partnerships with parents and external professionals;
support SEN programmes where required.
Health & Safety: Ensure a clean, safe environment and strictly adhere to safeguarding
and welfare policies.


Requirements
Qualification: Level 3 Early Years/Childcare (Essential).
Experience: Minimum 4 years as a Nursery Practitioner (Senior/Coordinator experience
preferred).
Skills: Strong team player, reliable, and able to model "best practice" for junior staff.


Employment Details
Pay: £13.60 per hour.
Hours: 30–45 hours per week (Permanent, Full-time/Part-time).
Shift Pattern: 8–10 hour shifts, Monday to Friday (Day shifts).
