Accountant - newly qualified
Location: Leeds (hybrid working)


The Opportunity:
We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join a Finance team within a large, complex organisation. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure across management accounting, project finance and stakeholder support, offering the chance to influence financial performance while helping to improve processes and controls.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, supporting the production of high quality financial information and providing insight to help drive decision making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare monthly management accounts and contribute to quarterly project and WIP reviews
*Monitor and support the management of unbilled revenue and project financial performance
*Process financial transactions accurately and on time
*Review and reconcile balance sheets, including maintaining supporting schedules
*Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support business needs
*Support internal control compliance and evidence gathering
*Assist with year end statutory audit and internal audit processes
*Provide coaching or line management support to junior team members where required
*Actively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and simplification
About You
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
*Someone newly qualified in industry (CIMA / ACCA) or in a big 4 / top 10 accountancy practice would both be ideal
*Confident communicator, able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
*Strong Excel skills and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
*Well organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple deadlines
*Collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused in your approach
