Job Description:
Employment Solicitor (3+ years PQE)
*Job Type: Full-time
*Location: Aberdeen
*Salary: Competitive, with an attractive remuneration and holiday package
A highly respected and forward-thinking law firm in Aberdeen are currently looking for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their successfully ranked team!
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide legal advice on employment aspects of various transactions, including corporate and outsourcing projects.
*Address daily employment-related inquiries, managing disciplinary and grievance issues.
*Oversee collective matters such as redundancies and integration.
*Offer guidance on trade union matters and represent clients in tribunal litigation.
*Independently manage a diverse caseload while also assisting with complex cases, supported by a collaborative team.
*Ensure high-quality client service in both contentious and non-contentious matters, dealing with employers and employees alike.
*Engage with clients directly and remotely, attending tribunals and courts as necessary.
*Participate in business development initiatives and maintain compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in employment law.
*Demonstrated ability to effectively advise and represent clients in employment tribunals.
*Skilled in identifying critical issues and performing thorough legal merits assessments.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
*Strong organisational skills, capable of prioritising and multitasking efficiently.
*Meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling numerical data.
*Confident in making decisive, well-judged decisions.
*Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, and ideally experienced with case management systems.
*Strong commercial acumen with a keen ability to assess risks.
