Our client, a large multinational household name with their UK headquarters in Guildford, Surrey, are looking to recruit as Assistant Accountant to join their large finance team. Reporting in to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, however given the rather unique structure of the finance team, you will also get the opportunity to assist in the financial accounting too.
If you are a confident communicator with management and financial accounting knowledge and are eager to develop your existing skills within a more commercially focused role, this is the opportunity for you. Our client are happy to consider someone who is or wishes to study ACCA or CIMA, or perhaps you are either qualified AAT or Qualified by Experience? The most important thing is that you can demonstrate the relevant experience.
Further Assistant Accountant duties include:
*Working closely with both financial and non financial people in the business, providing the financial support and insight required
*Monthly reconciliations, focusing on accuracy and consistency
*Working in close unison with wider finance team and senior managers providing key support
You must have the following to apply:
*Management and financial accounting skills
*MS Excel and good systems knowledge
*Eagerness to learn, challenge and work as a team to achieve results
