Job Description:
1:1 Teaching Assistant Location: Cardiff
Contract: Full-time (term time only)
Start Date: February 2026
We are seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a welcoming and inclusive school in Cardiff.
The Role * Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs (ALN)
* Support learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day
* Work closely with the class teacher, ALNCo, and wider support team
* Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have * Experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 or ALN support role
* A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* An understanding of ALN such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs (desirable but not essential)
