Document Controller – Construction Industry
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping projects running smoothly? We’re looking for a Document Controller to join a leading business in the construction sector, playing a vital role in managing the flow of critical project information.
What You’ll Do
*Oversee the full lifecycle of project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
*Manage and distribute drawings, specifications, reports, and submittals.
*Implement version control and maintain both physical and digital archives.
*Coordinate document flow between subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
*Administer Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Aconex or SharePoint.
*Conduct audits and generate status reports.
*Act as the go-to person for document-related queries and staff training.
*Support the creation of Operation & Maintenance manuals.
What We’re Looking For
*Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
*Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and EDMS platforms.
*Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
*Previous experience in document control within construction or a related industry is highly desirable.
