Job Description:
Job Title: Part-Time ESOL Teacher (Secondary)
Location: Fairlop, London
Working Pattern: 2 Days per Week
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking to appoint a motivated and committed ESOL Teacher to join our mainstream Jewish secondary school based in Fairlop. This is a part-time role (two days per week), starting as soon as possible, supporting students for whom English is an Additional Language.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver targeted ESOL/EAL support to secondary-aged pupils
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support language development and curriculum access
* Assess, track, and report on students’ progress
* Work collaboratively with subject teachers and support staff to meet learners’ needs
* Support students’ integration, confidence, and academic achievement
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
* Experience teaching ESOL/EAL, ideally within a secondary school setting
* A relevant teaching qualification (QTS desirable but not essential)
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* A flexible, proactive, and supportive approach to teaching
* An understanding of, or willingness to work within, a Jewish school ethos
