Job Title: CNC Turner/Miller
Location: Basildon, Essex
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: £18.00 -£25.00 (Dependant on experience)

Job Purpose:
To set, operate, and program CNC turning and milling machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring high quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
*Programming:
*Create and edit CNC programs using Mazak Integrex controls (experience essential).
*Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to develop accurate programs.
*Setting & Operating:
*Set up CNC turning and milling machines, including tooling and fixtures.
*Operate machines to produce components within tolerance and quality standards.
*Quality Control:
*Perform first-off inspections and in-process checks using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, verniers, CMM).
*Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and customer specifications.
*Maintenance & Safety:
*Carry out routine machine maintenance and report issues promptly.
*Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills & Experience Required:
*Proven experience as a CNC Turner/Miller in a precision engineering environment.
*Mazak Integrex experience is essential.
*Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and controls.
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD data.
*Competent in using measuring equipment for quality checks.
*Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
*Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., EdgeCAM, Mastercam).
*Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications:
*NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or CNC Machining.
