Job Description:
MRD Recruitment is currently recruiting a Procurement Manager for one of our manufacturing clients in Falkirk.
The Role:
As Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of the company’s procurement function, managing supplier relationships, optimising costs, and ensuring the timely availability of materials to support production. This is a key role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to make a tangible impact on business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
*Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability.
*Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and finance teams.
*Monitor market trends, risks, and opportunities to make informed purchasing decisions.
*Lead, mentor, and manage a procurement team to deliver operational excellence.
*Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and company standards.
*Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or timelines.
Requirements:
*Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
*Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
*Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
*Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team.
*Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems is advantageous.
*Relevant degree or professional qualification in supply chain, business, or related field.
