1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Wallingford, Oxfordshire
Pay Scale: £89.00 - £100.00 per day
Start Date: ASAP (January 2026)
A welcoming and inclusive community primary school in Wallingford is seeking a dedicated and professional 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves providing high-quality, individualised support to pupils who require additional assistance to fully access the curriculum and succeed in the classroom.
You will work closely with pupils who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), delivering tailored, hands-on support throughout the school day. The role includes implementing personalised learning activities aligned with individual targets, supporting academic progress, and promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
Key Responsibilities:
*Providing 1:1 support for pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and physical or medical needs
*Delivering individualised interventions in line with EHCP targets
*Monitoring pupil progress and providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
*Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure consistent and effective support
