HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – TRAMPING (CURTAINSIDER)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to work on curtainsider operations for our respected logistics client.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive pay, modern equipment, and a supportive team environment.
Shifts: Monday to Friday – Flexible PM start times
Salary: £40,000 per annum (including night-out allowance)

Day-to-Day Duties
* Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently for tramping operations
* Operate curtainsider trailers, ensuring loads are secured at all times
* Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate paperwork
* Complete nationwide deliveries with overnight stays (Monday–Friday)
* Liaise professionally with planners, customers, and depot staff
* Adhere to all company policies, traffic laws, and safety standards
Essential Skills & Requirements
* Valid UK Category C+E Licence (maximum six points – minor offences only)
* Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
* Minimum of two years’ Class 1 driving experience
* Previous experience operating curtainsiders preferred
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling when required
* Experience in tramping work desirable
Training Provided
* Full paid induction and onboarding
* Mentoring from experienced tramper drivers
* Guidance on curtainsider loading, securing, and route procedures
