Teaching Assistant ( SEN )
Dover, Kent - SEMH / ASC
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant ( SEN ) to join a specialist SEMH and ASC school based in Dover. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people who require consistency, understanding, and positive role models to help them thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role * Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils engage with learning and regulate emotions
* Assist with implementing behaviour support strategies and personalised learning plans
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour
* Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate * Have experience working with SEMH, ASC, or additional needs (school, care, youth work or similar settings)
* Are calm, resilient, and patient, with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
* Can demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
* Are adaptable, proactive, and confident in managing behaviour positively
** Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
** £90 - £100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
** On site parking included
