About the Role Secondary schools across the Rossendale area of Lancashire are seeking confident, adaptable, and proactive Cover Supervisors to support their teams on a day-to-day and short-term basis. Working through Veritas Education, you’ll step into classrooms to deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity for students in the absence of their usual teacher.
What You’ll Be Doing * Delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects
* Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a calm, productive environment
* Supporting students with their learning and engagement
* Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
* Providing feedback to teaching staff after each lesson
What We’re Looking For * Experience working with young people (school-based experience ideal but not essential)
* Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
* Confidence leading a classroom without direct teacher supervision
* A flexible, reliable and positive approach
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
