Mechanics Teacher - SEMH Provision Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time | Long-term / Permanent (via Tradewind Recruitment)

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a committed and resilient Mechanics Teacher to work within a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) setting in Corby. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about vocational education and has a strong understanding of mental health and trauma-informed practice.
The Role: * Deliver engaging, practical Mechanics / Motor Vehicle lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
* Adapt learning to meet individual EHCP targets and varying emotional needs
* Build positive, trusting relationships with young people who may have experienced trauma or disrupted education
* Support behaviour regulation using consistent, calm, and therapeutic approaches
* Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, SEN staff, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * QTS/QTLS or relevant experience teaching Mechanics in an educational or training setting
* Experience working with SEMH learners or within alternative / specialist provision
* A strong understanding of mental health, attachment, and behaviour as communication
* Excellent behaviour management skills grounded in empathy and consistency
* A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
