Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant

The Job
Working in schools around Greenwich to support children with SEMH needs who can demonstrate challenging behaviour- your role will be part teaching classroom assistant, and part pastoral support worker.
You will be responsible for supporting the classroom teacher to enable them to teach effectively- ensuring that the children you will care for are kept on task, helped to manage their behaviour, and to engage and communicate with their peers and teachers.
Skilled in de-escalation and behaviour management, your role will be a rewarding and challenging one, with no day the same as the last!
You’ll Be
*Experienced working with young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other disabilities and needs
*Able to hold student attention and communicate effectively in tough situations
*Able to encourage emotional regulation, and support pupils with SEMH needs to flourish!
