FAIR Inspector / FAIR Engineer / Quality Inspector
Initial 6-Month Contract (Likely Extended)
Hourly Rate: £40 - £45 per hour (UMB)
Location: Stevenage Area
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Half Day Friday)
Our client is urgently seeking an experienced FAIR Inspector / FAIR Engineer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract, which realistically is expected to extend beyond that. You will play a crucial role in managing a backlog and ensuring the timely delivery of projects in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.
With an 8-week backlog and a strong order book extending into 2030, we need someone who can hit the ground running, with no time for a steep learning curve. This role offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact.
Experience & Qualifications:
*Minimum of 3 years FAIR experience, with solid exposure to visual FAIR inspections.
*Highly regulated background required (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical, or other sectors with strict quality and compliance standards).
*Must be able to demonstrate the ability to hit the ground running with minimal training or supervision.
*A proactive, flexible attitude to work, especially in managing urgent or high-priority tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
*75% Desk-Based: Primarily responsible for compiling FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
*25% Inspection: Carrying out visual inspections to verify compliance with industry standards.
*Assist with the existing backlog, helping manage an increased workload while contributing to the overall success of the team.
*Ensure that all FAIRs are compiled in line with aerospace industry regulations and standards.
*Work with a team to ensure a streamlined process for completing FAIRs and meet all internal and external deadlines.
Rate & Duration:
*£40-46 per hour
*Initial 6-month contract with high potential for extensions, based on workload and performance
*Based near Stevenage
