HR Advisor
  • Wales,Bridgend
  • Full Time, Permanent
  • £30,000 - £38,000 per annum
Job Description:
Job title: HR Advisor
Location: Bridgend
Working pattern: 3 days in Bridgend + 2 days from home (expectations to go in if needed).
Team size: 4 (large depth of experience)

If you’re early in your HR career and feel boxed in by process, siloed work or narrow specialisms, this could be the role that changes your trajectory.

The business sits at the centre of a fast-growing global sport and operates within a crazy manufacturing and ecommerce environment. The brand brings energy and visibility, with professional players and industry figures regularly visiting the site. At the same time, this is a traditional, operational workplace supporting a predominantly blue-collar workforce.

This is a fast-paced, evolving environment where not everything is defined upfront. You’ll be trusted to manage ambiguity, take ownership and learn quickly. In return, you’ll work directly with an experienced HR Director and Chief People Officer who are committed to mentoring, teaching and gradually handing you real responsibility.

What you’ll be exposed to
You’ll gain end-to-end HR experience that’s difficult to find in larger organisations, including:
*Putting core HR systems and processes in place
*Supporting performance reviews and objective setting
*Coaching people and advising junior managers
*Managing sickness and return-to-work processes
*Designing, implementing and owning HR processes rather than just following them
*Exposure to senior-level HR thinking alongside hands-on delivery
*You’ll learn how HR decisions are made at a strategic level and how they translate into day-to-day reality.

This role will suit someone who:
*Is proactive and self-starting
*Is comfortable working without constant supervision
*Thrives in change rather than needing everything structured
*Wants to become a true HR generalist, with long-term aspirations toward HR Manager or HR Director
*May currently feel stuck in a corporate or heavily processed HR environment

Essential Experience
*Proven experience in an HR Advisory role, or an experienced HR professional who is open to stepping into a broader, development-focused admin role to gain deeper exposure and accelerate long-term progression.
*Experience working with blue-collar or operational workforces
*A CIPD qualification is helpful but not essential. Brightness, judgement and a willingness to learn matter more.
*Comfortable dealing with experienced, sometimes challenging or traditional stakeholders
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
*Confident communicator with a practical, calm approach

Why this role is different

In two years, you’ll have built a breadth of HR experience that many professionals take far longer to achieve. More importantly, you’ll have been mentored by a brilliant HR Director with 20+ years of experience working in a multitude of different industries and companies, who is genuinely invested in your development and progression.

Training will be given and qualifications paid for (if needed).

If you’re ambitious, curious and ready to step out of your comfort zone, this is an opportunity to build a serious HR career rather than just take another job.
