Teaching Assistant - Watford (SEMH Provision)
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Temporary, Full-Time)

Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant local to Watford looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people? Academics are currently supporting a specialist SEMH provision in Watford that is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team on a temporary basis starting as soon as possible.
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them to develop confidence, build positive relationships, and re-engage with learning. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support, manage behaviour effectively, and create a safe and nurturing environment for every learner.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support students with SEMH and associated learning needs in both 1:1 and small group settings.
*Assist with implementing behaviour and learning strategies.
*Help create an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
*Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals to support student progress.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will:
*Have experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
*Remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
*Be committed to supporting every child’s emotional and academic development.
*Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
