Job Description:
Teaching Assistant - Year 2 (SEND) | Dukinfield Primary School
Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming primary school in Dukinfield who are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their Year 2 class.
This is a rewarding role supporting pupils with high SEND needs and challenging behaviour, so the school is looking for a confident, resilient and nurturing individual who can build strong relationships and provide consistent support.
The Role:
* Supporting pupils in a Year 2 classroom with high SEND needs
* Managing and supporting challenging behaviour positively and effectively
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
* Providing 1:1 and small group support
* Creating a safe, structured and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
* Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour
* Strong behaviour management skills
* A calm, patient and proactive approach
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive school through Tradewind, with access to ongoing CPD and dedicated consultant support.
