School Cleaner – Primary School Location: Preston
Contract: Temporary / Ad-hoc / Short-term cover
Hours: Early morning / After school – e.g. 3:30pm–6:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role A school is seeking a reliable cleaner to provide cover within a school environment. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic setting for pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities *Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas
*Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
*Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting
*Replenishing cleaning supplies and toiletries
*Following health & safety and COSHH guidelines
*Ensuring high standards of cleanliness at all times
Essential Requirements *Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial preferred)
*Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
*Understanding of health & safety procedures
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable *Experience working in a school environment
*Knowledge of COSHH regulations
