Level 2 Teaching Assistant - EYFS – Primary School Location: Preston, PR1
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role We are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing across the school day.
Key Responsibilities *Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
*Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils as required
*Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy, and phonics activities
*Support children with SEND, EAL, or additional learning needs
*Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes
*Support pupils during lunchtimes, transitions, and activities
*Prepare classroom resources and assist with displays
*Observe, record, and feedback on pupil progress
*Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies at all times
Essential Requirements *Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
*Experience working with primary-aged children
*A positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Desirable (Not Essential) *Experience supporting pupils with SEND
*Phonics or early years experience
*First Aid or safeguarding training
