Behaviour Mentor
Are you passionate about making a real difference to young people’s lives? Academics are seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Bromley, supporting secondary-aged students to re-engage with learning and achieve their potential.
About the role
In this role, you will:
* Support students with SEMH needs in both academic lessons and intervention sessions
* Build positive, trusting relationships to promote engagement and emotional regulation
* Implement behaviour strategies and personalised support plans
* Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external agencies
* Help create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment
* Encourage positive attitudes towards learning, attendance and achievement
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEMH or additional needs
* Is calm, patient, empathetic and able to de-escalate challenging situations
* Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Can work as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and improving outcomes for young people
Relevant qualifications (e.g., psychology, education, youth work) are desirable but not essential; strong experience and the right attitude are highly valued.
