Key Stage 2 Teacher Job - Maternity Cover (Full-Time) We are recruiting a Key Stage 2 Class Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position starting as soon as possible and running until July 2026 at a well-established school in Blackburn, Lancashire.
This role is ideal for a qualified primary teacher with experience or interest in KS2 teaching, who is passionate about delivering engaging, high-quality lessons and supporting pupils’ academic and pastoral development.
The Role * Full-time Key Stage 2 teaching role

* Responsibility for planning, teaching and assessing the KS2 curriculum

* Monitoring pupil progress and providing effective feedback

* Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning

* Communicating effectively with parents and colleagues

* Contributing to school life, including trips and co-curricular activities

Person Specification * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree and PGCE (or equivalent)

* Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum

* Ability to plan differentiated, engaging lessons

* Excellent classroom and behaviour management

* Professional, positive and team-focused approach

* Commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusion

* Ability to remain calm and professional at all times

Experience teaching Key Stage 2 is desirable but not essential. ECT/NQT applications are welcome.
