Newstaff Employment Services is looking for an experienced Wood Machinist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various woodworking machines to shape and cut timber and other materials according to specific designs and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and machining processes, with an eye for detail and precision. You will play a vital role in the production of high-quality wood products.

Responsibilities *Operate woodworking machinery such as saws, routers, planers, and sanders to shape and cut wood materials.
*Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project specifications.
*Ensure that all machines are properly set up, calibrated, and maintained.
*Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
*Adhere to health and safety regulations while working with woodworking machinery.
*Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote efficiency and safety.
*Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and product quality.
Requirements
*Proven experience as a Wood Machinist or in a similar woodworking role.
*Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery and tools.
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
*Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
*Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
*Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to woodworking.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
*Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
