MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious engineering client, based in Newcastle, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a permanent Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The Job You’ll Do;
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plant & equipment to a high standard
*Respond to breakdowns on production machines
*To comply with legal requirements and work within company health and safety guidelines
*Identify and order spare parts
*Complete records using the maintenance management system
*Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding
*Project work/continuous development
*To work safely at all times and adhere to company policies
About You;
*Time served and ideally multi-skilled, although a slight bias towards Electrical or Mechanical is considered
*Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
*Ability to carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding
*HNC qualification or above is preferred but not essential
*Ability to create innovative solutions to complex problems
*Work with the OEM machine technicians when required
*Computer literate, familiarity with stock control and spreadsheets
