We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the Cath lab team.
Key Responsibilities*Patient Care: Prepare patients for catheterization procedures, monitor vital signs, and provide post-procedural care. This includes administering medications and monitoring for complications.
*Assisting Procedures: Work alongside cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions.
*Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient medical history, procedure details, and post-procedure monitoring.
*Collaboration: Collaborate with the cardiac care team to develop and implement patient care plans, providing emotional support and education to patients and their families.
*Equipment Management: Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in the cath lab, ensuring a sterile environment.
Required QualificationsEducation: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
Experience: Previous experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or critical care setting is often preferred.
6 months UK NHS experience required
Skills and Competencies*Clinical Skills: Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures, patient assessment, and emergency response.
*Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and support patients.
*Problem-Solving: Ability to manage stress and handle emergent situations in a fast-paced environment.
