EYFS Teacher - Rotherham
Are you a committed and imaginative EYFS Teacher seeking temporary, flexible and ongoing work in Rotherham?
Academics are partnering with warm and supportive Early Years settings who are looking for dedicated EYFS Teacher professionals to inspire children aged 3-5 during their vital early development stage.
Position: EYFS Teacher
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing positions
Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or from a start date that suits you
About the Role
As an EYFS Teacher, you will support children’s early social, emotional and academic development by delivering engaging EYFS-aligned learning opportunities and encouraging high levels of independence through structured play.
You will collaborate with Early Years support staff and parents to ensure children flourish both inside and outside the classroom environment.
To work in Early Years settings within primary schools (including Reception), teachers must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
To work within private EYFS settings, nurseries or preschools, EYTS (Early Years Teacher Status) achieved via Early Years ITT or an Early Years Teacher Degree Apprenticeship (EYTDA) is typical.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver creative learning linked to the EYFS curriculum
* Promote early communication, literacy, maths and personal development
* Use observations and assessments to track pupil progress
* Work collaboratively with Early Years support practitioners
* Build positive relationships with parents and carers
* Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging setting environment
* Uphold safeguarding and welfare responsibilities at all times
Candidate Requirements
*Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Recent experience in an Early Years setting (Nursery or Reception)
*Strong knowledge of child development and the EYFS curriculum
*A caring, enthusiastic and patient approach
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
