This is an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner looking to take the next step in their leadership journey. You will play a key role in shaping practice standards, driving performance, and embedding high-quality decision-making within a fast-paced safeguarding environment. The role offers strong exposure to complex risk assessment and management, while working within a well-established Signs of Safety framework.
The Role
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will hold responsibility for a small sub-team, providing high-quality supervision and leading on staff development. You will take the lead on high-risk Strategy Meetings on a rotational basis and support the Team Manager with key operational functions including referral "ragging", allocations, and authorisation of Social Worker assessments.
You will work closely with partner agencies within MASH, helping to maintain and develop effective, professional multi-agency relationships. You will also contribute to service development initiatives and Task Force groups, supporting continuous improvement across the service.
MASH is a high-volume, high-pressure environment, and this role requires a practitioner who is confident in autonomous decision-making, thrives under pressure, and can work to tight statutory timescales to ensure children and young people are safeguarded without delay.
