Job Description:
Are you a passionate and dynamic History Teacher looking to inspire young learners?
Rotherwood Education are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the Accrington area starting ASAP.
This role is ideal for a passionate and adaptable Religious Education Teacher teacher who is ready to inspire students, embrace new challenges, and thrive in a dynamic and forward-thinking school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
*Support learners of all abilities, using creative strategies to tailor lessons to individual needs.
*Encourage student participation through dynamic and interactive teaching methods.
*Contribute to the development of the History curriculum and departmental resources.
*Create a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes progress and achievement.
The ideal History Teacher will:
*Hold QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification in History.
*Have recent experience teaching History within a UK secondary school, ideally at both Key Stage 3 and 4.
*Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine love for Religious Education.
*Show confidence in classroom management and the ability to foster a safe, respectful learning environment.
*Be proactive, creative, and committed to ongoing professional development.
*Be an excellent communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative setting.
Requirements:
*Relevant teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE or equivalent)
*Proven track record or relevant school-based experience
*A current, enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
*Relevant references to support your application
*Willingness to attend a face-to-face registration and complete necessary vetting checks
