Sous Chef - £40k plus grats, 40 hour week, 5 days on, 2 days off - Eastbourne
Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our professional brigade of 18 cooking modern English cuisine with some banqueting. You will be responsible for assisting the Executive Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations, writing menus, supervising food production, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to demonstrate leadership skills within a high-class hospitality environment. You must possess strong team management abilities, extensive kitchen experience, and a commitment to food safety standards and high standards. We cannot accept any form of Visa Sponsorship.
Duties - supporting the Executive Chef with:
*Writing menus and planning
*Rotas, ordering and dealing with suppliers
*Training and development
*Stock control and food cost guidelines
Experience
*Proven experience of working within a luxury environment.
*Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
*Creative culinary skills where you thrive to high standards and enjoy working under pressure.
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team of kitchen staff.
*A team player who is professional and enjoys creating menus.
*A passion for cooking to very high standards.

*5 days on, 2 days off on a rota basis
