The Role
As Spares Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the heating spares operation at our site, playing a key role in the day-to-day performance and long-term growth of the business.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing position where knowledge, availability, and service make a direct commercial difference. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our customers can rely on us as their first call for heating spares, whether that’s through expert product advice, strong stock availability, or fast, accurate service at the counter and over the phone.
Working closely with the wider site team, you’ll use your technical spares knowledge and commercial awareness to grow sales, strengthen customer relationships, and identify opportunities to improve range, availability, and profitability. You’ll be trusted to manage the spares function with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of performance, standards, and results.

Key Responsibilities
*Take ownership of the spares operation, driving sales performance and margin
*Build strong relationships with trade customers by providing knowledgeable, reliable spares support
*Identify opportunities to grow spares sales through existing customers and new business
*Manage stock availability, range selection, and ordering to meet customer demand
*Act as the specialist spares point of contact for customers and colleagues
*Analyse sales data, KPIs, and customer trends to improve efficiency and profitability
*Support the wider team with product knowledge and technical advice
*Maintain high standards of service, accuracy, and organisation within the spares operation
What We’re Looking For
*Proven experience in a Spares Manager, Spares Specialist, or senior spares-focused role
*Strong knowledge of heating spares and components
*Experience working in a plumbing, heating, or builders’ merchant environment
*Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and act on sales opportunities
*Confidence working independently and taking ownership of performance
*Customer-focused, professional, and reliable
*Organised, data-aware, and comfortable working with KPIs
*Industry experience is important, but attitude, ownership, and customer focus are just as critical.
