Teaching Assistant (Autism)
Early Years (Nursery)
Barking & Dagenham
SANZA Teaching Agency are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic 2-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham.
They are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic teaching assistant for their early years team to support key students in nursery with Autism.
The details:
*Full- time
*Term-time only
*30am- 3.45pm
*Immediate start until July 2026 (likelihood of extension/permanency from September 2026)
Responsibilities:
*Supporting young learners (ages 3-4) with Autism
*Assisting with communication, social interaction and routines
*Adapting learning activities to meet individual developmental needs
*Encouraging independence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
*You will work closely with class teachers, SEN specialists and families to ensure that each child receives personalised support that meets their individual needs.
About you:
*A warm, patient and empathetic nature
*Previous experience as a teaching assistant with SEN
*Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
*Previous experience with Autism
*Early years’ experience or relevant childcare qualifications are a bonus
