Full Time or Part Time

We are now looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join an award-winning consultancy in Exeter with a considerable share of the local market. This role is unusual as it could be one of two things depending on what you’d prefer, either full or part time with a minimum of three days a week.

Responsibilities would include:
*Assisting in the development of a design team
*Design meetings
*Liaising between contractors and clients
*Project running
*Mentoring of junior team members
*Aiding in the development and expansion of the design team, actively involved in the recruitment process
*Acting as point of contact on structural projects from inception to completion
*Acting as an authority on structural issues and problem solving
*Report writing
*Utilising your experience by running your own complex and challenging projects
*Hands on design and site visits


My client is preferably looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
*Chartered or approaching chartered member of the ICE or IStructE
*Experience with software packages such as Tekla suites
*Knowledge of BIM
*Experience with a variety of building structures
*Knowledge of Eurocodes
*Experience with all traditional materials such as RC and Steel
