We are seeking a committed, proactive Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in a friendly and energetic SEND department. This long-term temporary role involves working closely with students who require tailored support with learning, behaviour, and personal development.
The school is looking for someone who is confident, calm under pressure, and able to form positive, professional relationships with students—many of whom benefit greatly from consistent, positive role models.
This role is well-suited to candidates who enjoy a hands-on, active position and are comfortable working in settings that require resilience, teamwork, and a practical approach.
Key Responsibilities*Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs.
*Use positive behaviour support strategies to help students engage in learning.
*Assist with practical activities, movement around school, and structured outdoor/active sessions.
*Build strong, encouraging relationships with students to promote confidence and independence.
*Support teachers with classroom organisation, planning and adapted activities.
*Maintain a safe, inclusive environment that supports emotional and social development.
What We’re Looking For*Experience working with children or young people (school, youth work, sports coaching, care, or similar).

*Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
