Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and resilient Geography Teacher to join a challenging but rewarding secondary school on a long-term temporary basis. This role is ideal for a teacher who can inspire curiosity about the world, deliver structured and engaging lessons, and maintain a strong classroom presence.
You will be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their knowledge of physical and human geography while supporting them academically, socially, and behaviourally.
Key Responsibilities*Teach Geography to KS3 and KS4 classes.
*Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that motivate, challenge, and support learners.
*Apply effective behaviour management strategies suitable for a challenging school environment.
*Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
*Contribute to the wider Humanities department as required.
*Build positive relationships with students, helping them stay motivated and engaged.
*Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent.
*Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
*Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
*Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse student needs.
*Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
*A calm, consistent, and resilient approach when dealing with challenging behaviour.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
