Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive, highly organised School Administrator to support a busy school on a long-term temporary basis. This role requires someone who is confident working in a fast-paced environment, comfortable dealing with a diverse student population, and able to remain calm and professional at all times.
As a key member of the school’s administrative team, you will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations by providing efficient front-office, data, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities*Act as a first point of contact for students, staff, parents, and visitors.
*Support daily office functions, including phones, emails, and enquiries.
*Maintain and update student records and school databases (SIMS or similar).
*Assist with attendance processes and follow-up communication.
*Provide administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff.
*Manage confidential information in line with safeguarding and GDPR requirements.
*Support behaviour and pastoral teams with documentation and communication (as needed).
*Contribute to a positive front-office atmosphere while managing challenging situations effectively.
Requirements*Previous experience in a school office or similar administrative role.
*Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and school systems (e.g., SIMS).
*Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
*Ability to remain calm, resilient, and professional in a challenging environment.
*Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask confidently.
*A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider school community.
*Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.
