We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Food Technology Teacher to join the Design & Technology department on a long-term temporary basis. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons that inspire students to develop essential life skills, confidence in the kitchen, and an understanding of nutrition and food preparation.

Key Responsibilities*Teach Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and 4
*Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons that challenge and motivate students.
*Ensure a safe, well-organised practical learning environment following food hygiene and health & safety guidelines.
*Prepare and manage practical resources, equipment, and ingredients.
*Assess student progress and provide constructive, timely feedback.
*Contribute to the wider DT department and collaborate with colleagues.
Requirements*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
*Experience teaching Food Technology in a school environment.
*Strong subject knowledge—including food safety, nutrition, and practical skills.
*Excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
*Ability to engage and inspire learners of all abilities.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
