We’re seeking a Commercial Account Handler to join a fast growing Insurance Broker, based out of their Dartford office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in commercial insurance who thrives on providing excellent service and wants to develop their career within a supportive, high-performing environment.
Role Overview
As a Commercial Account Handler, you’ll be the backbone of our client’s servicing team. Working alongside the Account Manager and Directors, you’ll manage a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are expertly handled from quotation to renewal.
You’ll liaise with insurers, negotiate terms, and be the day-to-day contact for clients — providing advice, support, and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
*Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business quotations across a wide range of commercial policies (e.g. construction, liability, haulage, motor fleet, logistics)
*Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring outstanding service delivery
*Liaise with insurers to obtain competitive terms and cover options
*Provide technical insurance advice to clients
*Ensure compliance
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the broking system (e.g., Acturis)
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial insurance account handling role (broker or insurer-side)
*Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance classes
*Excellent communication and client relationship skills
*High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
*Proficient in using broking systems and Microsoft Office
*Able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
*Experience with Acturis
*Exposure to complex or niche commercial risks
