Job Description:
Automation QA Engineer (Scala)Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract – 12 months
Start Date: February (TBC)
Location: Leeds (on-site once per month)
Security Clearance: Not required
Role OverviewAn experienced Automation QA Engineer is required to join a collaborative delivery team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will bring strong automation testing expertise with Scala, having used it extensively within the last 2–3 years.
Key Responsibilities*Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts
*Work closely with developers and wider QA teams to ensure high-quality delivery
*Execute automated and manual tests as required
*Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and processes
Essential Skills & Experience*Proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer
*Strong hands-on experience using Scala for test automation (recent 2–3 years)
*Experience working in agile delivery environments
*Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Location & Travel*Remote-first role with once per month travel to Leeds
