The Opportunity
This is a fantastic role for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering and customer engagement. You’ll manage and develop relationships across the North UK territory, acting as a trusted technical partner to customers and supporting them throughout their design, qualification, and procurement cycles.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and franchised manufacturers to provide technical guidance, resolve challenges, and convert opportunities into long-term business.

Key Responsibilities
Territory & Customer Management
*Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers across the North UK region.
*Identify and develop new business opportunities and applications.
Technical Sales Support
*Provide application-level support and product selection guidance.
*Offer technical input during design, qualification, and project development phases.
Customer Engagement
*Attend customer meetings, site visits, and design reviews.
*Understand technical and commercial requirements to propose effective solutions.
Collaboration & Supplier Liaison
*Work closely with internal sales, product management, engineering, and quality teams.
*Support supplier introductions, joint visits, and technical presentations.
Reporting & Market Insight
*Maintain accurate activity records, forecasts, and opportunity pipelines.
*Share market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer trends with the wider business.
Your Profile
Essential Experience & Skills
*Proven background in technical sales, applications engineering, or field sales engineering.
*Strong technical understanding of electronic and/or electromechanical components.
*Confident communicating with engineering and commercial stakeholders.
*Experience managing a regional territory and working autonomously.
*Commercial awareness, including pricing and negotiation.
*Full clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
*Experience selling into defence, aerospace, space, rail, or industrial sectors.
*Familiarity with qualification standards, approvals, or harsh-environment applications.
