SEN Teaching Assistant
*Annual Salary: £13.85 - £15 per hour
*Location: Rugby
*Job Type: Full-time, Mon-Fri (8:15 AM - 3:30 PM)
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our special school, which caters specifically to children with autism. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of children who require tailored educational support.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide one-to-one support and group support within the classroom, adapting to the individual needs of children with autism.
*Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
*Collaborate with teachers and other staff to enhance the learning environment for students.
*Utilise specific strategies to engage and support students during educational activities.
*Monitor and support the social and emotional development of students.
*Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and any behavioural issues.
*Facilitate communication between students and staff, helping to foster a supportive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN setting.
*Understanding of the educational needs and challenges faced by children with autism.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
*Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to undergo training.
