Are you a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term role?
A warm, inclusive, and supportive primary school in Islington is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work across KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning, build confidence, and make meaningful progress.

About the role
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils across KS1 and KS2
* Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver IEPs and targeted interventions
* Adapting learning resources to ensure lessons are accessible, engaging, and inclusive
* Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, independence, and confidence
* Supporting communication, sensory needs, and social skills development
* Contributing to a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
* Monitoring progress and sharing observations with teaching staff and parents
About you
* Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, ideally within KS1 and/or KS2
* Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice
* Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and emotional needs
* Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children
